I feel so stuck in thjs game compared to hollowknight. Entire regions of the game are locked behind slapping a visually benign wall or going into an obscured upper corner of a room. When you're dealing with her pin formation attacks if the last attack is a horizontal a lot of the time you can clawline through it (or with it, travelling in the same direction the pins are flying) to hit Silk while simultaneously avoiding the damage. In general I was trying to fit in 2-3 clawlines before each of her attacks. Try and stay in the middle of the screen, because if you're at the walls you're in more danger of being hit by the larger hitbox at the start and beginning of her sweeping claw attack.Assuming you have double jump (I hope you do) avoiding her web attack is harder now that they've taken out the short float override. Before I beat her they applied the patch so I had to beat her the way you're going to have to so it is doable.Last tip is something an anon told me which I had no idea, in her second phase if you two hit the spike plates she pulls up they'll fall back down. I made a point to do this every time she pulled them until enough of them were cleared that I had a good amount of room to maneuver, I lost a really close run when I was unlucky enough to end up in a situation where the entire center of the platform was taken up by spike plates and both sides of the platform had falling rocks so I had nowhere to reset while she was doing a pin formation attack.

There is one big criticism I have of Silksong and it's the overreliance on NPCs and shopkeeps.I personally think the you can get rid of the Ant shopkeeper, the Architect shopkeeper, and even Eva's rewards besides the Hunter crest upgrade, and just make it so that these are spread across the world.In fact, they should make it that you can find certain weaver terminals that you can bring back to Eva for the verticrest upgrades.I understand what Team Cherry was going for but it made the overworld rewards a bit weaker even if Silksong generally has more fun stuff to get.

>>720528542nah, you're not alone. gauntlets are consistently the most difficult parts of the game. coral tower and the high halls arena both killed me more times than any boss in the game besides karmelita. they're highly random and can rage from pushovers to near-impossible based on enemy pattern RNG, and sometimes they just throw enemy combinations at you that were very clearly never playtested, like the double maestro and double hammer dudes waves in high halls. you can't actually fight them without taking damage, you need to know where they spawn in advance and save your silk to nuke them before they can kill you.

I honestly just think it's cool to have these little zones hidden in the nooks and crannies of the map. If you're going for 100% you'll find them but a casual player could finish the whole game and not even know shit like Wisp Thicket or Verdania or the Voltnest even exist.
