Yeah no thanks I'll pass on this one, unless one of you can convince me otherwise.

So is this the angle that shazam is going with?

I accept your concession

The same is true of Hollow Knight as well.
>>
>>720556649
Pass it you shitter. You would've rage quit at the first boss anyway.
>>
>>720556649
> Artificially difficult
Dumb shit said by people who are bad at videogames. All difficulty is artificial. The game is easy if you are good
>>
>>720556649
>artificial difficulty
this has to be the dumbest buzzword you faggots ever managed to conjure up. it has zero meaning.
>>
>>720561131
wdym it's just a vague term that implies that the difficulty is bs, something like enemies having damage/resource multipliers, disabled fog of war, bullet patterns that require memorization etc
>>
>>720561687
It's a very specific term that refers to difficulty that isn't organic or balanced, i.e. long boss runbacks. Boss runbacks serve no purpose other than to pad total playtime and are completely unnecessary to the challenge level of the game.
>>
>>720556649
It’s common for difficulty to be this way, game got a patch that fixed a lot of the artificial difficulty problems. If I were you I’d wait perhaps until another patch to fix some more problems but I already have the game since release day. Still, it is quite playable now for normies as they fixed contact damage and 2 particularly hard early bosses.

never once have I heard another human say this shit and respected them for it. Just screams "Im such a bitch, Im only allowed to play games 45 minutes a week and i cannot emotionally deal with losing progress"

>retarded autists taking the meaning of terms literally
When people say artificial difficulty they mean is a game removing or reducing the impact of player agency or skill to make something more difficult or time consuming or difficult to engage with. The Savage Beastfly for example is artificially difficult because the boss itself has a extremely simple and predictable but the adds are there to prevent the player from actually engaging with the boss and its extremely simply mechanics so that the fight can be "hard". The flying enemies and how they're designed are another example of this they constantly hover just outside of normal jump range and input read meaning the player has to wait for them to attack before they can do anything. There's also how the game will constantly fill every platforming challenge with a bunch a flying enemies to make the platforming "hard" instead of letting the level design speak for itself in that regard. The first Hollow Knight honestly does difficult platforming better than this game. There's also areas that are only hard because of how scarce benches are not because of level design. Hunter's march for example is only difficult because of the long run back you have to do every time you're set back and not because of the area itself

Honestly based. Wuchang and Wukong are actually fun to play

all this boils down to you crying because you don’t like the rules the developers have created so a video game can be a video game.
the term is still just a meaningless buzzword regurgitated by dumb as fuck smooth brained nigger faggots.
>>
>>720564090
the only "artificially" difficult thing about these games are the runbacks, but even at my saltiest I recognize that I shouldn't have lost if I didn't want that to happen
>>
>>720556649
stay filtered nigger
>>
>>720556649
dont forget to make a steam discussion post to, in the forum for this exact game, where the devs will read it and your opinion will matter because thats what happens there
>>
>>720556649
>doesn't respect the gamer's time
Yeah "artificial difficulty" is a bizarre thing to say, since video games are created whole cloth... It's not like, I dunno, drawing a picture, where the difficulty comes from the blank page and the time and skill needed to cover it with something good. It's the same with puzzles. Like crossword puzzles are annoying, but a puzzle author thinking they're clever for putting some awful pun with a question mark isn't a crime against humanity. Not least since you're always free to crumple it up and throw it away.
But "doesn't respect your time," man. It's a hobby meant to waste time. If you aren't having fun, then you should do something else. Which I guess you are doing something else: you're complaining about video games on an underwater basket weaving forum.
Which, by the way, I was seriously disappointed when I learned that only the basket is underwater.
>>
>>720565648
I'd rather just give it a negative review and move on.

>Game is artificially difficult, doesn't respect the gamer's time, is hard for the sake of being hard instead of fun, has gay romance
Damn it's like they copied Elden Ring 1:1
>>
>>720556649
gay romance is lame but keep in mind most gamers are abysmally shit at video games so having a few of them complain about getting filtered can actually be a good thing.
>>
>>720566076
Ah, Elden Ring. Another game that's glazed by NPC's that I don't like.

>>720564090
Shut up nigger, no more walls of texts or else I'll insult you a second time.
>>

Silksong was awaited for so long just to be soulless
>>
>>720556649
It's genuinely reviews from unironic shitters.
>>
>>720556649
Let me guess, you also happen to be a 35+ years old single dad who works all day and has to take care of your ex-wife's children so you don't have time for any challenging games.
>>
>>720564090
>The Savage Beastfly for example is artificially difficult because the boss itself has a extremely simple and predictable but the adds are there to prevent the player from actually engaging with the boss and its extremely simply mechanics so that the fight can be "hard".
The adds are just free fucking silk and you can even bounce on them to more easily avoid the boss stay airborne when the ground disappears.
It's not artificial fucking difficulty.
>>
>>720564090
>use thread storm (available to you the second you get the glide which is required to access savage niggerfly)
>oneshots the adds allowing you to focus only on the boss
skill issue
