domed vs concave sticks? i used to like concave but been using domed sticks i think i like it more idk if I'm better with them or not but it feels more comfortable to me
>>

I guess it depends the size of the stick.
>>

All the controllers I have (Xbox One, SD) have concave sticks. What controllers have a dome stick?
>>
>>720559640
I've brought thumbsticks off amazon and replaced my xbox controller ones with

concave because we have to sacrifice stippled pistol grips to make those
domed requires the heckin doggerino noses
how many dogs have to die before you've had your fill of animal cruelty
no wonder the ps5 is the most popular in asia and the middle east
barbarity

PS2 and PS3 had them. I personally don't have a preference either way though.

Concave.
domed are dogshit in racing games.
>>
>>720559640
you can get caps/extenders
>>
I think I like the one on the ps4 the most. it's essentially both. it's a dome with a lip.
>>
>>720559492
Whatever you want to call the PS5 sticks. Those are the best ever.

Concave are better for games where precision is important and you need to be moving in multiple directions frequently, since you can rest your thumb pad within the groove and push the stick where it needs to go. Rounded tips are better for most 3D games where you’re holding “forward” for the majority of the time, since your thumb won’t be resting on the harder lip of the stick.

I don't like them that much. Don't grip my thumb well enough.
Ironically the ps3 convex one had a very gritty textures and felt more accurate to move around

>I guess it depends the size of the stick.
WHAT MATTERS IS HOW YOU USE IT, OK?
>>
whatever the xbox one pad uses. it’s perfect
>>
>>720559492
It doesn't matter. Just don't give me that gaycube c stick bullshit.

Nothing beats that Saturn stick
>>

I like that I can position my thumb where it needs to be on a convex stick, with concave, it's either sinking into the center or on the edge, there's no comfortable in-between.

BASED.

I wish this style of stick had become the standard...
>>
>>720559945
True, but those caps feel weird half the time unless you get good ones. Had some knockoff convex ones that felt like they were made of dried Play-Doh. Better off just replacing the whole stick module if you care even a bit about feel and accuracy.
>>
>>720559492
Concave for better grip. It makes no sense that most sticks aren't like that.

It's about the motion of the ocean, which is why the Gamecube has domed sticks.

flat
