So i guess the Yoshi series is doomed to forever continue as a series for fucking toddlers even though literally noone cares for that style (Woolly World and Crafted World), the reception is always lukewarm, and Yoshi's Island arguably is the best 2D Mario game.
>>
Yoshi is a girly series just like Kirby and Zelda

Frankly i’m more concerned about it being a switch 2 game. NOTHING about the style screams that it needs the extra power of the switch 2 to run
At this point i’m convinced they’re just making switch games switch 2 games in order to pad out their lineup because they have very few ACTUAL switch 2 games
>>
haha
>>
I liked Woolly World, it was a decent little game
>>
>>720591858
Who even wants a serious high budget Yoshi game? Wouldn't you rather they do that for Mario or DK again?
>>
>>720592227
I mean all major consoles are doing that let's be honest
>>
>>720591858
Smw2 had storybook aesthetics and it’s one of the best Gen 4 games. Wooly world is also quite good, though it isn’t storybook so much as “general crafts.” I’m reserving judgement. It did look cuter than shit you can’t deny that.

The art style is good. I just hope the game has some difficult sections.

I'm gonna go ahead and tell you that no, it won't

>series for fucking toddlers
That's every series now. Donkey Kong used to be the harder platformer yet his latest game is babbymode easy.
>>
>>720591858
Yoshi has had one (1) good game, and it was his first one. He's been a baby character since literally the N64. You should have known by the time of Wooly World that there was no saving Yoshi, but I guess I'm glad you're aware now.

If they made it in the style of Yoshi's Island and somehow were able to make it just as good, then yes, I would want that

Don't worry I'll masturbate to it and make it for grownups just you wait
>>
I'm happy that Binny Binesauce is excited for his new cute Yoshi Babby game.
>>
>>720593843
Is there a Nintendo game he isn't excited for? He tries to hide his obsession but everyone sees through that shit. Biggest tendie on twitch
>>
>>720592024
But there aren't any girls in it.
>>
>>720592382
Yeah weren’t we supposed to be getting a port for switch 1? I remember that was one of the games accidentally leaked during a direct.
>>
>>720595115
I wonder if it was actually a placeholder for this new game now
>>
I get that it’s a stylistic choice but this game looks so shit dude. The choppiness of the animation does not look good at all.
>>
>>720592435
I fail to see why Yoshi can't be a badass asskicker like the rest of them. The guy's got an extendable, frog-like tongue that can stick to any creature and surface, can probably deliver 100 kicks to you in under five seconds, and is only second to Kirby in terms of having a blackhole for a stomach which is still terrifying. No reason why he can't get a Donkey Kong Bananza or Wario World-style adventure.
>>
>>720591858
it always was a series for toddlers
>>
this is another win for ageplayers

Xenoblade.
>>
I actually love the art style of the nu-yoshi games. I just don't like gameplay because they're all way too fucking easy

You are 30+ year grown up man, there are hobbies for your age and you have a backlog of retro games to play with if you insist on being a manchild.
>>
>>720598470
That wasn't developed by nintendo
>>
>>720593843
Binny could watch Yoshi burp into a crayon-colored flowerpot and call it "soulful" and "cozy." He’s been on that Nintendo-brand dopamine drip since the Wii U era and ain't kicking it anytime soon. Just let the man vibe with his plush egg simulator in peace.
>>
>>720592594
It's a very pretty game, but you're delusional if you think it's being aimed at anyone above the age of eight
Yoshi's Island is still enjoyable to this day no matter your age because of the rich movement mechanics and enjoyable level design, but none of his games after it are, not even Yoshi's Story.
>>
>>720591858
>even though literally noone cares for that style (Woolly World and Crafted World)
I liked both of those games a lot. They're very easy, but they're still fun and novel and, yes, probably good for little kids. I don't see the issue here. Don't get me wrong, I wish they were as demanding as Yoshi's Island too (which itself isn't that hard if you're just playing through it and aren't trying to get everything), but they're far from bad.

Yoshi's Island was pure sovl but the art style condemned it to a cursed fate of being targeted to babies forever
>>
>>720600038
Not true.
Yoshi's Story was what condemned it.
>>
It's been kiddie shit since Yoshi's Story, so nearly 30 years.
>>
>>720600341
Butterfly effect, Yoshi's Story only exists because the og art style created a permanent gimmick for yoshi to follow
