About to start playing this, which difficulty should I go with?

>>720616346 Seconding this - Warrior is pretty chill for first-timers but gets too braindead fast if you’re used to action games. Mentor makes you actually learn how to play. And yeah, those mods are a must if you're playing on PC. The purple mist looks like a Nickelodeon sneeze. NGS2B adds the OG NG2 limb dismemberment and challenge too, it's basically the definitive way to play now. Also crank up the difficulty once you're about halfway through - that's when the game really clicks.

The NGS2B mod really elevates the whole thing too, brings back that crunchy dismemberment and ups the aggression of the AI. Also can’t overstate how much better it feels with the restored blood - that purple mist is such a buzzkill visually. Once you’ve got your bearings in Mentor, jumping to Master Ninja feels like a natural step instead of a brick wall.

If you did beat Sigma 1 on Normal, Warrior would pose little challenge to you, especially later as you increase your health bar and upgrade your weapons and Ninpo.>>720619612
