Memory is the bare minimum for games to even run and the requirement for them to be playable keep going up.
You ether have enough memory or you dont and adding more memory does not help if you cant even fill up the current memory you have.
No game (Other than some VR games) requires more than 60 fps (30 if you are a buck broken console fanboy) to be playable and frame-rates past 120 require a trained eye to even notice.
I sometimes forget to turn 120 fps mode back on in some games on my gaming PC after i played them at 60 on my laptop because its just that hard to notice but i sure as hell would notice 30 fps compared to 60.

The only point of 1000Hz is to get rid of motion blur, so obviously using interpolated blur frames to fake 1000 fps is completely pointless.

Ignore that the GPU power consumption to get to 1000fps will be like 10x what a fucking CRT would have used to accomplish the same thing.

It was a meme pushed by Apple and Dell. They wanted to distinguish PC widescreen from TVs. A big selling point was stuff like PowerDVD would have the ability to shift the video to the top and let you have your navigation bar in an empty strip below it.
As time went on, people realized that was dumb and nobody wants the controls on the screen all the time. Console games and movies were being made with 16:9 in mind, video would be letterboxed no matter what, and games would either be horizontally cropped or vertically extended (with no consistency).
Eventually people decided it was gay. 16:9 monitors were creeping in even in 2008-9, with 4k monitors starting to show up even though 4k media was nonexistent (with games being unplayable at that resolution) and monitor scaling sucked horribly.

I'm on 1440p120hz and there's no GPU on the market that would actually utilize it to the max in anything remotely modern that would actually benefit from it. No point in resolutionfagging in some old game where the textures are too small. Also older games don't benefit as much as you'd expect because all the improvement in hardware is new slopframes models so you can't brute force older stuff.

You will play 720p30fps on recommended specs and you will be happy.
