When I say AMD you kneel.AMD
I buy AMD CPUs but never GPUs
>>720653667I only buy whats good in the market when im buyingI dont give a single fuck about brand. This gen AMD cpus are top tier, last gen they were dogshit. This gen AMD gpus are literally the best bang for the buck, nvidia are literally retarded if they think the chinese black market will sustain them because china is already reverse engineering components to bypass the US embargo.
>>720653667we know, reddit
Sorry but I actually have to be able to edit photos in Lightroom in real time so I switched to Nvidia.
>>720654064POW
I don't need to edit photos in Lightroom, so I switched to AMD
>>720653502>you have to install linux to get decent performance out of itFor me personally it's a good thing as linux annoys me personally less than Windows. But for people that gets annoyed by linux more than windows (which i can understand completely), it's a waste of time and silicon.
>>720656624Works fine on my W11
>>720656663Yes it does, but if you run it on linux, you will get more performance.
I can't use comfy on an amd card without using linux, for that reason I stuck with njudea
uhhhhhhhhhh 5080 bros I was told I made a smart purchase?!?!!

>>720658031>AMDjeet doesnt know what a bottleneck is kek
>>720658193We're on a tech bubble that use the nvidia cards as the main component of it.
>>720653502>uhhhhh 5080 bros i was told i ma-ACK
>>720658309It doesn't matter what market you look at, Nvidia brutally dominates and rapes radeon tards on market share and featureset
>>720658549>feature setPretty much the only reason I chose Nvidia this time around.
>>720658234yeah, the bottleneck is the 5080
>>720658234>4090 and 5090 magically go through the imaginary bottleneckthe smartest Nvidia fan
>>720658234damn son, you are retarded
>>720653502>mfw i buyed nvidia and not xdx i9-8090-xt xtgre+ and my frames are supercharged #TeamGreen>mfw im borderlands 4 gaming at 180 fps gsync enabled with dlss ON, deep learning super sampling frame generation transformer, optimal performance mode at 60W under load and it's extremely smooth and i'm having a blast
>>720653502But my 3 year old Nvidia GPU spanks it.>>720653667I'd switch to AMD CPUs if they'd support Thunderbolt natively on their boards. I'm not putting my PC in the room with me.
9070xt is about $180 cheaper than the 5070ti in my country.Should I get the cheaper option or should I spend more?
>>720662878AMDpoors tend to look at native performance only, since their upscaling and framegen options are awful. The 5070ti used properly with DLSS will rape the 9070's face.
>>720653502I KNEELBut also,>not the 9070xtYou fucked up
>>720653667Would you choose a 5070ti over a 9070xt? Ifyes, you are literally paying more for less
>>720662878Depends on what games you play, 9070XT is better value if you play MH Wilds and certain UE5 games. If you play Cyberpunk or better optimized games 5070 Ti is generally just the better card and DLSS 4 looks better than FSR 4 but FSR 4 looks better than DLSS 3 so it's not that big of a deal.
>>720662878Well what are the actual prices in your country? What do the prices of the 5070 and 9070 look like?5070 vs 5070ti is usually like only a 15% difference. After dlss you aren't going to notice that too much, big issue is the 5070 falling apart at 4k due to some gimping nvidia did + the vram will likely be at the very least annoying 5 years from now >>7206636765070ti is faster in almost everything even in raster.
>>720662878the 9070 xt outperforms the 5070ti in 1% lows AND averages in most games.
Also 16gb on amd = 12-14gb on Nvidia. There are times where a 5070ti is fine but a 9070xt is crashing or with totally fucked performance
>>720663728No. thats just not true. There are dozens of comparison videos on youtube and the amd card wins most of the time.
>>720653667this, so I can use AI without workarounds.
The card is really fucking good. I used to say AMD is unusable garbage because it was but FSR4 is almost as good as DLSS and they fixed raytracing performance. AMD users are no longer second class peasants as far as features go. Drivers finally don't crash and burn either. If you do any ML work nvidia is still king but if you only game I'd get the 9070 XT or 5090. Lower tier cards are kinda shit and the only real upgrade from 9070 XT is the 5090 so I wouldn't consider anything apart from these two cards.
>>720664018>AMD users are no longer second class peasants as far as features goStill no heavy ray tracing performance. Path tracing in most games won't even render correctly on amd
>>720653667I bought my first AMD GPU a few months before the AI think kicked off, woe is me I fell for it again.
>>720653502What is the point of shilling AMD video cards when they are selling so well they are still above MSRP months later? You care about discrete GPU market share more than AMD does.
>>720662878Look at reviews for the 9070 XT and 5070 Ti to see if games you like are better on or the other. The 9070 is much better value but struggles in high-end ray and path tracing, as well as some games like Elden Ring. Overall I think it's a better deal and worth getting when Nvidia is ripping everyone off with their 16GB cards.
>>720663796Nvidia always had better memory compression and it's still the case but the difference isn't as big as you claim. And modern games don't crash when they run out of vram, it's not the same as regular system memory. It's extremely counterintuitive but if you ever see out of vram error message on a crash, that's a CPU stability issue because the CPU told the GPU driver to do something impossible and it tried to map a wrong region. This is extremely well documented because Intel Raptor Lake Refresh used to constantly crash with that error message before the microcode update reduced the boost clocks and added an offset to fused voltages to address the instability. Most of these were nvidia driver crashes, because nvidia has higher market share, but had nothing to do with NVIDIA and it was a CPU issue.
>>720653502>tempted to get an RX 9070 for 1440p gaming to get away from an RTX 2080 Super, fuck raytracing as a necessity for much of anything>but the MSRP fuckery means it's not really the value it should be and makes picking a build apart that much more of a painAm I really losing much at all for going for a 9600X versus any of the X3D chips?
>>720653502What counts as kneeling? I bought one already.
>>7206645024 more gb used on the 9070
>>720662878If your just looking to game then the 9070xt is the best bang for your buck right now. AMD overshot with it. It is more like a competitor to the 5080 then the 5070 ti which beat in all games expect wukong because thats a very nivida favored game
>>720664113What the fuck are you talking about? I went from 4090 to 9070 XT after selling it and all the PT games like Cyberpunk and Alan Wake I've played looked identical, just a bit slower. I even tested the experimental PT mode in Dragon's Dogma 2. >inb4 why downgradeBought for 1600 via nvidia priority thing on launch sold for 2500 two years later. I got the 9070 XT for free essentially.
>>720664772Why are you posting that tech illiterate Owne nigger? Post your own screenshots unless you're an iGPU peasant.Memory comitted! = memory used. RTSS numbers are worthless for this.
>>720664772Well the 9070 does have 4 more gb then the 5070.
>>720664605X3D are only worth it for autism sims, MMOs and esports. Or if you don't want to upgrade for the next couple generations. Also check if you can't buy Ryzen 7 7700 cheaper than Ryzen 5 9600X, better CPU overall.
>>720664885The 9070 XT is basically a 5080 as far as raw hardware goes, just with slower memory. The reason why it's a 5070 Ti competitor is that RDNA4 isn't quite as good as Blackwell but the gap is smaller than ever. It's also why it's unsustainable because nvidia makes $350 more per each card that costs the same to manufacture.
>>720664113Who cares? Yeah, it's gonna be weaker in the thing NVIDIA specializes in, but there's no 100% raytracing game out there on the market, and only a couple have a "transformative" experience when even bothering to use it. Not everyone cares for raytracing and it's more of a niche advantage unless you're just all graphicswhore all the time, at which point being superfluous with your money is simply part of the game. The fact that the 90-series can actually tackle general RT pretty well for the most part is a testament to the fact that NVIDIA are losing ground in their own pioneered field and can't be complacent with more AI cores thrown on top.
I CAN GET A 9070 FOR 500 EURO BUT A 5070 TI COSTS ALMOST DOUBLE. THATS FUCKING INSANE. A slight overclock and it comes clock to a 5070 ti
>>720664605X3ds are gaming gpus, they give a nice boost to performance but no they are no necessary the 9600x is a good chip by itself but you could go for a 9700x or 9600x3d if you want a large boost
>>720664907How the hell are you even playing cyberpunk overdrive without ray reconstruction? It looks worse than just the regular rt without it>just a bit slowerLess than half the performance is just a bit slower? You're at like 30fps and under with a 9070xt in cyberpunk without framegen at 4k performance or 1440p balancedOn top of this the bounce lighting literally doesn't work on amd, I don't know if this is a driver thing where they're somehow tuning things down so it's not getting raped by a 5060 in a benchmark or a bug, but it was still there as of a month ago.>>720665087They run out at the same time too.
>>720665212>Also check if you can't buy Ryzen 7 7700 cheaper than Ryzen 5 9600X, better CPU overall.Judging by part picker, it's like $196 for the 9600x versus $264 for 7700x or $284 for the 7700, which is kind of ass backwards. Not too big a deal for those willing to get spendy, a tiny bit rough for penny-pinching on a budget.
>>7206648859070xt runs out of vram and crashes at 1440p btwAlso no denoiser on amd
>>720653502>When I say AMD you kn- ACK!
>>720663467>upscale>framegenThis is just trickery to compensate for shit native performance.
