My cannon placement was tight, accurate, real perfection. Optimal angle. Optimal distance. Optimal fuse. If any part of you is not alligned symetrically in the canon, you will go at an angle though, say your right foot is jutted out, your body will go the same way and miss, goes for any odd part. If you missed, maybe you should become more aerodynamic or just don't die! I use those bad boys all the time, i personally survive atleast 73% of all launches, 100% successfully.

It is hard to correctly get both feet into the cannon itself, which means you get launched at an angle and you cannot light the fuse once you are correctly positioned inside the cannon. If you could light the fuse while inside, the positioning issue would not be a problem and if you could position yourself quickly and easily then the fuse would not be a problem. It is only because both of these issues exist at the same time do they become an actual problem.

Most people die from either being greedy or just RNG from the environment. In these lobbies it's not uncommon for half the lobby to die in a biome so you'll just join the club. You know what I have noticed? Oranges and reds hold out less hands then any other color. I see or have experienced them climbing in front of me and instead of turning around to see and assist anyone if they need help they instantly start running ahead without so much as a glance behind them. Blues, cyans and even purples help more often then those two colors.

What's the shittier Ascent 5 combo? Mesa and having your progress killed during day because of the sun, and having your progress killed during night because of needing to huddle up? Or Alpine and having to deal with blizzard chill and night chill at the same time, killing your progress at night and turning storms that can normally be survived into a death sentence?

And on top of that, huddling is shit and you can barely negate night cold if you and another person are magnetized to each other, and the other person never is because they're running off while you're a tick away from passing out.

I honestly really like Mesa, and find the day/night cycle really fun, it's like the complete inverse of alpine's inner cave because unlike alpine's inner cave, the outerside of mesa actually has insanely good climbable paths. The outer portion of the mountain that's exposed to sun is usually the fastest and most clear way to get up but the trade off being the obvious sun, whereas the safe interior is mazelike and often incredibly slow. If in doubt, just look outside.
