Completely fair and a good end game challenge
>>720666485I remember dicking it down with the science ship, but that was years ago
>>720666485As much as FTL pleases me thematically more and I like moving my little dudes around the ship it's a pretty sloppy game and Into the Breach is a hell of a lot better. I wish they'd make a not-fucked FTL 2
>>720666485true. however, it's repetitive to fight it again and again each run. my only complaint about FTL is that there should have been 3 different flagships in which one is randomly selected to be the final boss for each run
>>720666485I love that killing everyone inside just puts in a popup saying its now controlled by ai and runs better than if you just left a few individuals alive
>>720666485I think Engie Ship B or C will always be able to take on the Flagship with a skilled player if you can get there in a stock state or better.
>extremely casual and boring game for teen girls>/v/ posts for 15+ years about how it's the deepest thing ever and it BROKE themBoring!
>>720666485It's very much doable if you have the right set up and strategy. Yes, even on hard difficulty. RNG can sometimes fuck you, though.
I liked this game but gave up on ot after a while.Getting constantly fucked by RNG stops being fun.
>>720666485>duck my hacking drone under their defense, take out shields>have my own defense drone shooting their shit down>cloaking>use almost any weaponez victory
>>720666485why have you gas lit yourself into thinking that thing is fair? it doesnt need to be fair, its the final boss of a roguelite, a game played in short sessions.
>>720667242Anon, you posted an anime girl reaction image.
>>720666984Into the Breach's problem is that it's HUGELY brain demanding game in order to make the perfect play for each battle, it has to be literally perfect from start to finish basically as there isn't room for mistakes lest you lose a mecha or important objective. Thus it's more of a puzzle/chess game than war/battle simulation rogue fighting.I have such a hate/love relationship with ITB.
>>720666485I agree
>>720666984I have the game for you assuming you haven't played multiverse already. This one changes a lot of shit
>>720667337>cloakingand there it is
>>720667384It’s perfectly fair until hard mode
>>720668495i mean it's not mandatory, but its pretty damn closei typically can't afford it till sector 3 and beyond, but it seems to show up fairly often. i almost never get to the flagship without having it
>>720666485The trick is to kill all of the crew except one of the guys manning the cannon that doesn't have any exit to the rest of the ship, so the Flaghsip is maximally weakened, but doesn't turn on the autopilot AI.
>>720668901The auto pilot is the dumbest fucking shit ever. >kill everyone on board>uh well actually the ai auto pilot turns on now and it's better than having crew on it and there is nothing you can do about it!Like you said it's easy to exploit once you know about it, it's just a trap for first time being trying that against it, and nowhere else in the game does a mechanic like that exist.
>>720667134The trick with AI is that it can't auto-repair rooms with a breach or that are on fire. If you want to kill the crew, keep a breach bomb or fire beam around to completely nullify the ship.
>>720668495>>720668731A lot of people talk up cloaking, but I don't think it's as great as a defense drone pre-flagship. Just having a balanced level of shields and evasion will stop lasers/ions and a defense drone blocks missiles, cloaking need a 150 scrap subsystem and a power bar to get a almost-guaranteed dodge for 5 seconds. If your ship doesn't already have very strong alpha strike capability to bring down enemy weapons, you need something that's more long term.
>>720666485Literally the easiest point of any given run.
>>720668901>doesn't have any exit to the rest of the ship
>>720669174Autopilot can't repair rooms if there's a breach in them. It's also helpless to boarding.
>>720668467I uninstalled because it was literally too ugly to play>But anon it's on purpose!...
I like crying suns
>>720666485I got pretty good at this game well over a decade ago and beat the mother ship with a bunch of ships before the game had achievements. Now it looks like I played 100 hours and never got anywhere :(
>>720668467>multiverseProbably the most mixed feelings I had on a mod>70% chance true ending event is blocked by le funny event, if you even find the sector>Sidestories have enough text and pointless lore to necessitate a fucking scroll function. It is never relevant>Pawns replaced by an OC swarm with unique special abilities you have babysit>the 3-ish notable characters from the original have their entire *extended* families featured for more OCs>Everyone treats you like a special ed, is retarded themselves, or is indignant>factions with nuance are split to make them either pure good or evilIt's like selling the soul of the game to reddit for mechanical accomplishments
