I'm playing esha and logy, playing as Logy first. The game seems to give so much time for assignments so I end up just synthing random shit at the end or even just getting a few materials but I guess the later ones don't even have time limits, I've only played Sophie and a little of Ryza of the newer ones. I think I like Ayesha more but I still got a bunch of the game to go through and I like some of the changes they made so I may change my mind later. Also I love Totori.

Ryza 2 and 3, while being fun games, started to get rid of some of the complexity in the alchemy system, even getting rid of the alchemy level.I don't think it ruined the game, but i prefer the older system with a small puzzle and having to grind for (alchemy) levels to progress the story.

How the hell is this thread still going? Anyways, I'm not an Atelier fan, only an Arland fan (mainly Totori/Meruru). I've played the Dusk and Mysterious trilogies but I have a lot of issues with both of them. I won't touch any of the Ryza games or Yumia with a thousand foot pole, the only way I'm ever playing another Atelier is if you give me a cute flat-chested MC with an equally cute flat-chested gf, like totomimi. Kishida Mel was also in his prime during the Arland trilogy.
