Is Path of Exile 2 early access worth it?
no
firs few hours are fun. then it turns into a build autist simulator where you literally have to follow certain build paths to advance past bosses. not yet, needs balancing and more combat variety in the later stages
Imagine paying to beta test a game.Imagine being a developer who has only ever made one ARPG for over a decade, and still being bad at it.
So do I need to clear all interludes before mapping? Like I did some of the act1 remix interlude but frankly after I had to kill do fire n ice witch duo boss I did feel first real wave of exhaustion and momentum slowing down. The second round of acts in poe1 were more tolerable since you had the god meta progression tied to it with unique bosses but the 1st interlude is bit off-putting... Are the other two any more tolerable since at least the mountain and more Vaal shit sounds at least more interesting than what ezomyte interlude had been so far.
>>720677096If you were planning to buy mtx for the game anyway, yes, otherwise, no.>>720678314Interlude 2 was kinda shit to me. 3 is more interesting. Though the interludes gives talent points and your last spirit upgrade. I don't think you need to do them to start mapping but I haven't tried so not sure.
>paying to beta test a game that is going to be freeif you're retarded, yeah
>>720677617I've taken several characters into endgame and all I've done is picking skills on a whim.
>>720677096ill just keep playing the first game until it's out of EA
>>720677096ARPGs are not worth it.
>>720677096its exactly how poe1 open beta was back in the day. including trickling in new acts and placeholder end game either wait for 1.0 before jumping in it or play poe1 to satisfy the craving. its got mountains of content to do. otherwise you will just sour your taste for poe2 instead of getting the full experience
>>720677096yeah, its fun BUT can be extremely frustating if you pick the wrong turn at your build and face a wall like act 2 final boss.
>>720679315Poe has never been free, you need to spend at least a little money to get special stash tabs or the game is completely unplayable long term. Plus, "buying in" to poe 2 is just getting the MTX money and then getting the key for free, which you'd need to do anyway.
Yes. Easily one of the most fun ARPG experiences, especially if you're playing with a friend. The problem is not enough weapon bases, which in turn would give more skills. The classes don't change shit, the abilities come from the weapons. I want more archetypes, I've already tried nearly everything there is.Don't read guides or straight up copy builds, making your own is more fun and it's easy to gauge when your build isn't dealing enough damage so then you can start improving various aspects of your build. I played the game with someone who has never played PoE before, we didn't read anything off of wikis and only used the information that the game itself provided and we got to late game without issues. If anything, you'll be better in PoE2 without having played PoE1.We left the game on a hiatus for other games and once there's a sufficient amount of new content, we're going back.
the fuck am i suppose to do with mapping? everyone says to juice but its also aids. same with towers. i just want to kill new bosses and earn a couple hundred div
>>720677096Currently if you will play as ranger or witch and do OP stuff. It's fun.Anything other is slog and not fun experience.
>>720679692found the retard
Bought it and played 100 hours this season. Really enjoyed the game up to endgame. T15 Waystones/Tower "endgame" has to be one of the most dogshit experiences this game has to offer though. I am genuinely baffled they think the "juicing" of waystones and mapping to towers is a entertaining process.
>>720680295played shockwave totem and it was alright, you just need to obey jonatroon and do the combo gameplay™, in this case dropping earthquake/fissure over my totems.
>>720680143Juice stuff as long as it's stuff you know you can handle. If your map already has extra elemental damage and minus player max resistances, forget trying to juice it already.
>ARPG>look inside>Endgame is crafting gear and market trading autism
>>720681112and then you fight the big bosses, what would you expect from a rpg anything other than rising numbers? at least with poe 1(cant really bother with 2s endgame) you could beat some bosses earlier if you had the skill to dodge their bullshit.
>>720681112also endgame boss its abig sponge to justify all the gear number autism
>>720677096It was in December but isn't anymore.
