in fact, only ignorant consumers are claiming this. completely ignorant to the fact that nvidia drivers are the cause for the myriad of issues people are blaming UE5 for. ask yourself "why does these issues only happen to people using nvidia cards?" and maybe you'll find your answer, or maybe you'll continue to be an ignorant asshat. it's been known for a long time, there are many reports on it, and yet you remain ignorant.

It allows them to use all low and mid-level devs in the world as interchangeable pieces. High-level devs can do well using any tools and UE5 is still a good tool. They also aren't paid enough to build in-house engines anymore, it used to be standard practice that the engine guy was an owner of the company.

Making in-house game engine requires a lot of talent and resources, it's much, much cheaper and easier to make the game in unreal and outsource the work to some pajeet in India who watched a few unreal tutorials on yt and then pay him $2 and hour, the game just has to look good to investors and shareholders who won't even play it anyway

I know that it's because the people who (seemingly) know how to work on it are so common, but how did it happen exactly? I'm feeling like there used to be much more engine diversity back in the day and now even studios with known and working engines just prefer to switch to UE5.
If it really is because of Indians, why did Indians focuse on UE5 in particular?
