Both the Oblivion and Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster were disappointing as fuck because its literally just a UE5 visual layer running on top of the original game. Once the wow factor wears of you realize its the same fucking game just running 20 times worse. At least Skyblivion will feel meaningfully different due to being made in the Skyrim engine

he used the same engine because it just worked while everyone else chased after shit that didn't matter like lighting that went through character ear lobes n' shiet. Hell creation engine didn't even have a PBR renderer until 2019. Nearly 10 years after the whole industry had already moved to this workflow.
