does BDSP have day/night?
It was fun when all the duplication glitches were possible, but they've all gotten patched and the game lost the amusement factor. It's pretty uninspired, but it might be fine if you've never played Gen 4 before. I'm also an autist that grinded to get all of the underground statues, but it's really not worth it.
You shouldn't buy either of these shitty games. Just go emulate Platinum or play a romhack
>>720691426Do you really like Sinnoh? Honestly it fixes some of the classic DPPT flaws by replacing the slower engine and adding more pokemon through the Underground. There's no Battle Frontier but the Battle Tower has been upgraded to have a lot of cool fights though. If you have Legends then having a BDSP save file will give you a Darkrai, which is neat. Game is ugly though, I did not pay full price and I don't recommend others to. Get it on sale or used if you have to. If you're not a big Sinnoh fan I wouldn't get it either, I love Sinnoh so I enjoyed it.

It's still sluggish as all hell to get through a battle. Every little status update or status effect still takes forever, there's lag between each action. Not to mention the 3D animations often take longer, assuming you leave animations on. I doubt BDSP is that much faster, or faster at all. They've done nothing to streamline the speed of these games. The only time they did was briefly in Gen 5, and also battles went a liiiiitle bit faster in Pokemon Legends Arceus. That's about it though.

Other than that, you can get a trainer card star by collecting 100 unique statues and can increment the number recorded on your trainer card (max is 425). It's a complete waste of time unless you're a completionist.

Only new one I could recommend would be Scarlet and Violet w/ the Switch 2 patch. It has its issues but at least its playable. Sword and Shield did not get any performance patches for Switch 2. If you must play pokemon, I'd recommend just playing the old games or romhacks, of which there are many quality ones.
