Journalists don't care or they like it when games have pronouns/diversity
Steam reviewers will buy a game and refund it just to have a window to leave a negative review about pronouns/diversity
That said, the game is mediocre on its own merits, you'd just have trouble figuring out the actual reason why from either set of reviews.
