The plot is
>snake takes pictures of metal gear and gets lost at sea
>raiden disarms fake bombs for a melodramatic black man who dies
>the president grabs Raiden's balls and tells him everyone is a puppet
>Raiden rescues Otacon's sister, who dies and accomplishes basically nothing
>gets knocked out just so we could have another dumbass torture sequence
>Liquid Snake crushes Arsenal Gear, which presumably would have happened even without Raiden and Snake doing anything, making the entire story pointless
>Raiden and Solidus fight for flimsy reasons tacked on right and the end because they would have had no reason to fight otherwise
>Snake tells Raiden a bunch of vague nonsense, the end
