Is automatas localization bad or is it just overblown?I understand that 2b has a different personality in english but it enough to mess with my understsnding of her character or the story in general?

>>720704704>Is automatas localization bad or is it just overblown?It's not bad, and the criticism overblown.The tone is a bit off with some characters in some cases (Burgers don't quite get Kuuderes), but the overall experience is still great, and 9S is honestly well done.NA has one of the better EN dubs out there, but I'd still play it in JAP if you understand it well enough and/or can follow subs while playing. However, in case of Replicant, the English dub literally is superior in every possible manner.

>>720705725I'm 100% serious.I'm all into playing and watching everything in the native language (I'm not a native English speaker either), but Replicant's English dub unironically elevates every single character. There's practically no "banter" to even speak of between Nier and Weiss in the Japanese OG, and the floating book just sounds monotonous and very fake "ye olde timey".
