finished it without problems but you genuinely can't defend how much filler and boring nonsense there is in the game. some of the design decisinons were genuinely awful, it's a good and a bad game all in one

The game is insanely easy as soon as you realize you can just jump in the air and heal practically whenever you want. Equip the fast heal charm, and genuinely you can just heal as soon as the boss misses an attack. You can get pretty sloppy and still win, and if you want it to be even easier just abuse tools. The difficulty is entirely within your control, if you choose to make it too hard for yourself, that's on you.

Also if you wanna get anal, you could always just not link the flame in DS1 and in HK you can do the Godhome endings to not become a new vessel of the Radiance.

to be fair I found hollow knight extremely annoying, barely finished it out of spite, crossed the line on absolute radiance. Difficult - yes, but the bad type of difficult. Abundance of flying annoying enemies, egregious backtracking and wandering, borderline filler, annoyingly prolonged boss battles and sequences. The whole game was difficult because of endless endurance marathons of everything. From what I'm seeing, silksong is the same thing, but on steroids.
