What will you do when a game you really want to play is a gkc? For the moment i will buy them on ps5 or for nsw1 if there is not much difference but there are games meant for Switch like the DQ remakes or some indie games
>>
>>720715916
I just won't play it then. I am a grown adult that is older than most on modern /v/. I can put my time into other more deserving games instead. I have no loyalty to any game or company. If they aren't doing what I like I will move on.

I'll get it digitally for free using my nintendo gold points. What a great consumer friendly system that will definitely never be removed because nitnendo loves me.
>>

>What will you do when a game you really want to play is a gkc?
Shit Enix needs to learn
>>
>>720715916
This is the kind of game that is better played on the switch because of handheld gaming
>>
>>720715916
I don't get it at launch unless it's already very cheap and the file size is low (10 GB or less). I'm interested in seeing how quickly game key card releases lose value on the market because being able to snag them for 20 or so not long after launch would sort of make up for the game being a download.

I buy a discounted Steam key from a third party site. Sad thing is I used to love buying physical copies of JRPGs on the Switch, but GKC just feels pointless.
>>
>>720715916
Don't buy it
>>
I'll buy it digital, like I buy almost all my games.
>>
>>720717174
How hard are you holding back those tears, anon?
>>
who the fuck plays dragon quest?
>>
>>720715916
Will these ones have the body type bullshit in them too?
>>
>>720717224
>Denuvo game
>Fit girl repack
Face it, PCfags are so loyalists that they let the piracy scene die.
>>
>>720715916
I don't buy 3rd party games on switch, there's no point
>>
>>720718882
Considering you've never played DQ, I don't really know why you'd care
>>
>>720718638
>who the fuck plays dragon quest
People who like video games and not normalfag simulators like GTA, FIFA, Valorant and other garbage.
>>
>>720715916
Just buy it on the eShop? I'm already almost all digital anyway because I don't have any more space for my collection.
>>
>>720715916
Pass.
>>
>>720719490
>muh normalfag
you're jerking off the most normalfag rpg of all time
>>
>>720719529
>you're jerking off the most normalfag rpg of all time
but enough about final fantasy
>>
>>720719386
>the not a real fan/never played it cope
Too bad. I’ve played 5, 8 and 11.
>>
>>720719623
>I'm a real fan, I totally played these games!!
If you were, you'd know that the majority of DQ games have set characters and two mainline non-multiplayer titles have selectable genders.
>>
>>720719606
what about dq makes it good
>>
>>720719740
I just listed the games I played though? They changed shit in the 3 demake, so why wouldn’t they in these ones too?

>Buying Third Party Games on Switch 2
Enjoy the 30 fps because Nintendo decided they were too great to send dev kits to lowly peasants
>>
>>720719871
Because body types wouldn't exist in games with set characters, which is what 1&2 are and what any fan would already know since DQ games with selectable genders are anomalies.
Also willing to bet you're a liar, but that's beside the point.
>>
>>720715916
I won't buy it.
>>
>>720719916
But I just said I haven’t played 1 and 2.
>>
>>720715916
I will simply not play it
>>
>>720719984
Even if you hadn't, anyone already aware of the franchise would know that DQ1 and 2 have set genders.
Anyways, again, you didn't play 5 or 8. Maybe you played a bit of 11 since that's the new ultimate normalfag DQ game.
>>
>>720720045
>you didn't play 5 or 8
Except I did, this is pointless anyway, you’ve already made your mind up.
>>
>>720720116
Nah, you didn't.
>>
>>720715916
It's pretty retarded that my options for buy this are a game key card or Steam. I am at the mercy of a service either way.
>>
>>720715916
Almost all the games I play on Nintendo hardware are Nintendo developed or published, if a game like the next SMT came out on a key card I would just not buy.
>>
>>720719895
It's clear that Nintendo have been prioritizing who gets a dev kit with many external developers having had one for a while, if a studio can't produce PS4 quality visuals on the Switch 2 hardware more powerful than a PS4 then that's their problem not the hardware's.

It won't happen since only third-party publishers use game-key cards. Would it be cool to own these games physically on the Nintendo Switch 2? Absolutely, but there are always other platforms. There isn't a single third-party Nintendo Switch 2 game that isn't available on PC or PS5. My hatred for third-party publishers grew immensely when I realized that they are just greedy and refuse to use real game cards. People on the internet always try to blame Nintendo, but third-party publishers used scammy practices even during the Nintendo Switch era. People fail to realize that game-key cards are exactly what third-party publishers asked for, and they don't care.
>>
This just makes me wanna get something like a Rog Ally instead if I want portable gaming.
Or, I don't fucking know, stream to my phone.

It shan't bother me, for I buy all my games digitally.
By the time Sony takes their servers down homebrew or emulation will hopefully be possible for most older systems, so at that point I'll just pirate
>>
>>720715916
I will buy the steam version instead, because Steam’s DRM is easy to get around, or just pirate it.
>>
>>720722890
>I buy all my games digitally
Third world behavior. I don't understand why people don't just pirate at that point. Why buy digital games that you don't own? Buying digital games makes no sense. You pay €80 for air
>>
>>720723371
The vast majority of physical games are basically the same as a digital release, just with the caveat of having plastic shit you need to keep in your house.
>>
>>720720045
I played VIII (fuck XI). My favorite character is Yangus and I really like the Red story where you have to get her the Venus Tear. Swordsman's Labyrinth is a great dungeon and I really like the Trap Box boss. It's a shame there is zero desire to translate the young Yangus mystery dungeon game. I thought about playing the 3DS version of VIII because of Red (and she has claws or something as a new weapon type), but
>added gay overworld monster encounters
>reverted back to midi
>replaced jessica's va
>instant alchemy is casual baby retardation
>gay retard photograph minigame
>blue chests give way too many useful treasures, more casual baby retardation
And for other games
>body type bullshit is faggotry and shouldn't exist
>they censored the boss troll's lips and that's gay and retarded
>the games have dlc now and that's jewish as fuck
>yuji hori has dementia and the whole dq team should be euthanized to prevent future games tarnishing the legacy
In fact every developer of a video game with an employee count over 10 should be euthanized, worldwide. Death to the industry.
>>
>>720723521
So in other words, your subhuman third world country doesn't sell physical video games and you're too stupid to pirate
>>
>>720723613
I mean, you're the retard that buys plastic and has a superiority complex over it.
By the way, third world countries are the ones that buy primarily physical games. Because they have shit internet.

I already buy the Switch 1+2 games exclusively in digital format. I only bothered with physicals once a blue moon, like the premium cartridge of Super Robot Wars T or the Blaster Master Zero collection because the voice-acting is exclusive to the cart.
>>720723371
There has never been a case in my experience of being denied the (re-)download of digital games I've previously purchased regardless of the system, be previously on Steam and now currently on the Eshop.
Not being able to buy a game that is no longer available on the storefront for a license issue or whatever? Sure. Like how I'm buying the Entergram visual novels on Switch since a bunch of them will be made unavailable for purchase once September is over. But I still keep them beyond that date.
>>
>>720723810
Take your meds, you subhuman digital shill. The Indian and Brazilian economies can't afford real video games. You will own nothing and be happy. Physical media is ownership. Pirating is ownership. Digital DRM Steam video games are a scam
>>
>>720715916
I got the CE for switch 1. And not even because of the key card thing, but because I wanted the box to match with 3's in the book case 3 came with. Honestly the switch 2 version didnt seem to change much from the little I looked at.
>>
>>720723865
Cool story, tranny. I'm still not paying for air and still pirating digital games
>>
>>720723959
You realize repeating mottos designed to make you feel better doesn't actually do anything, right?
>>
>>720724110
Keep shilling, digital tranny
>>
>>720724013
You're free to pirate anything but my point was more to correct on the false narrative you kept regurgitating about digital games. I do own the digital games I buy for my account even if the storefront no longer allows purchase for certain titles or the entire catalog.
>>
>>720724164
You're the one shilling amazon and gamestop
>>
>>720724165
>I do own the digital games I buy for my account
No, you don't. You don't own these games. But keep seething, digital tranny
>>
>>720715916
>gamecuckcard for a fucking 2d game
lmaoooo
>>
>>720724193
Take your meds you subhuman corporate bootlicker. I'm not the one paying 80 euros for DRM
>>
>>720724279
You're shilling for physical games.
Where do you buy physical games retard.
>>
>>720724326
Are you brain-dead or something? Where do you buy your groceries and water? From stores that sell physical goods. This nigga is living off dust and air
>>
>>720724487
So, you're shilling for gamestop and amazon.
>>
>>720724507
Take your meds schizo shill
>>
>>720724547
>You need to buy games physically!
>No I'm not shilling for the only stores that sell new physical games!!
So what, you shilling for Walmart? Target?
>>
>>720724216
>No, you don't. You don't own these games.
I do have a Steam account that will soon reach 2 full decades old and there are several titles I bought in the past that I can still redownload even if they're no longer available on the storefront, like the OG Metro 2033 or the OG releases of the Batman Arkham games (back when GFWL was a thing). So yes, I do own the digital games I bought. And besides, I prefer to buy physicals for books, not videogames.

I wanted this exact game for Switch 2.

I zoned out during the gamecard thing. I am only just now realizing how retarded and gay these gamecard things are.

online DRM shit instead of just owning the game. Damn I'm seething. Why did Nintendo do this wtf were they thinking? Who put them up to this?
third parties can decide to cheap out on their game cards? Why did Nintendo give them that option? I'm pissed at Squeenix and nintendo now. I wouldve bought their stupid game at full price I'm in disbelief.
>>
>>720724927
>buying dqshit
>>
>>720715916
If you accepted the free switch 2 edition upgrade for DQIII, your save from that game is not going to work with a switch 1 copy of DQI+II because square hates its customer base.
>>
>>720724836
How is your steam account 5 years older you? Your stepdad give you his or something?
>>
>>720715916
Pirate them on PC.
>>
>>720725336
I'm in my mid-thirties, anon. The Orange Box was my first Steam purchase back in 2007.
Which also mean I don't exactly obsess with the whole "own forever" with videogames since I long accepted the fact I could die one day. There will be also the later option of hacking the console and make the backups of my own digital purchases too.
>>
>>720715916
We are boycotting ALL game key cards. All of our games must be printed on the physical media, in full, no exceptions.

Now excuse me as I buy more crap on the Steam store that I’ll never play.
>>
>>720719895

>>
>>720724927
Wait, source on key cards being banned from resale? DRM typically prevents resale. This has massive implications. I’m going to write to every “journalist” who said otherwise.
>>
>>720715916
buy the physical switch version
>>
>>720727649
S-E released a switch to S2 update for DQ3 but have no plans for a S2 update for DQ1+2
>>
>>720715916
See >>720729465. This game isn’t coming out for Switch 2. I’m going to report these store listings as fraudulent.
