If you mean th Borderlands movie it is different from the games. Same characters and setting but the story and the characters are different to how they are in the games.

BL1 is the worst game, it aged poorly.

TTW > BL3 > BL2 > TPS > BL1

But if you haven't played them before start with BL1 and the other games in release order. If you don't like BL1 plat BL2 instead.
