I've been wracking my brain over which system to choose for a while. I already have a Steam Deck LCD (launch model) but the battery life is killing me when I play anything newer. I want the Switch 2 for games that'll be coming out for it, but hearing the battery life is also not great and that the display pixel response time sucks makes me hesitate. Also don't know if there are any comfort grips that exist yet for Switch 2 that would make it comfortable like the Deck, cause I kinda hate clawing my wrists and grip for the Switch
It's not even a contest lol
>>720731165neither
>>720731506Que?
DESU, they're two completely different platforms. It truly is comparing apples to oranges. With the Switch, you're restricted to Nintendo's ecosystem and their release schedule. With the Steamdeck, you have access to over 90% of the PC library, not counting the endless library open to you via emulation. They're two completely different devices. Check if the Nintendo library suits you, otherwise, you'll be crippling yourself entirely.
>>720731165The only reason to buy the switch 2 is to get access to nintendo games. That's it. That's all there is to it. Personally I want access to nintenslop and I already have a computer for other games so I'm just gonna buy the switch 2 but if you don't care about nintendo games then just get the deck.
>>720732757>>720732361There's a factor of it where I'm, I suppose I'm waiting for any Switch 2 OLED announcement first. But to my knowledge there is no 1080p 120hz oled screen at that size that exists and if they had to custom make it it would probably take a few years to mass produce and then sell it on the cheap, so I figure maybe the Deck OLED is a better buy now than Switch 2
>>720731165Wait for the Deck 2 in 3 years.
>>720733184Deck 2 is absolutely not coming within 3 years, Valve said as much themselves that there haven't been any new advancements in battery tech
>>720731165Deck OLED or wait for deck 2 OLED
>>720733475>playing forced raytracing games on DeckI know it has older hardware
deck oled is a no brainer, it's a charming, soulful piece of tech. unless you must play mario kart and DK right now, give it a few years and then pick up a switch 2 secondhand once there are actually games to play (assuming there will be and nintendo don't go full openworldslop with every one of their franchises)
>>720733475there is nothing preventing devs from making deck versions with just porting settings they applied to snitch versions.they just dont want to because that would make nvidia angry that they might sell less videocards.
>>720733475Steamies have been real quiet after this dropped kek.
>>720734374Tendies were practically fucking silent for days after the Direct they just had.
>>720731165Switch 2 is such a shitty, anit consumer console I'd rather drop games than use it.
>>720733475wow, you can play a girlboss corpo slop?!
>>720731165Dumb ass nigger just replace the battery.
