It fully lived up to the hype and even exceeded it for me. It's genuinely the best game From ever made.Also people who say it's not AC forget how different 5th gen was from 4th gen. Not to mention the upper half of parts actually worth using trivialize the single player even more.The gameplay really does just boil back down to minmaxing hitrates in the same detached and impersonal way that AC4 did, but with movement that's less free and interesting to compensate for it. There's really nothing to serve as skill expression in 6 beyond looping the optimal movement pattern for your loadout/matchup or mastering parry timing (which more or less breaks the game). Even a no weapons run is easier than you'd think.
