It is 2025 and gaming monitors still aren't solved yet.
>just buy OLED
kek
>buy TN
no thanks mr spooky ghost
>buy IPS bro
take a picture of your panel in the dark

How did no tech boffin solve the gayman monitor problem? Why can nobody just make a good one?
>>
I wonder how many posts until crt spergs show up
>>
just buy a monitor and use it, sperging out over inane shit is pointless
>>
>>720738092
>>just buy OLED
that's the solution right there, no 'kek' about it
>>
>>720738232
only if you never use static apps
>>
>>720738271
every modern OLED has a variety of tools to prevent burn-in. Worst comes to worst, you just buy a new OLED in a few years

Just don't be poor

VA is still the best middle-ground. Doesnt have the worst colors, has better contrast, glow isnt too bad, and the ghosting is literally only noticeable on like a page full of text and if youre going well out of your way to look for it, and it mitigated slightly by overdrive settings.

If you use anything aside from a crt monitor for gaming then you should just kill you're self.

It's called microLED. It'll be at least 15 years before they're affordable though.

IPS is the least bad in my opinion. Note that I didn't say good. Just least bad based off price, availability, durability, refresh rates. I don't know what more you want from me.

It will be solved.
Just wait 10-20 years for microLED.
>>
OLED is the best but you'll need a 2nd non OLED monitor for static web browsing
>>
>>720738685
most companies have given up on microled
>>
>>720738092
LCD mini-LED is the future anon
>>
revive CRT monitors
>>

I am still using a 1920x1200 IPS from the year 2010. It has better colours than any piece of shit I looked at in the shops, because it's still got fluorescent tubes for backlight. LED backlight produces denitst's office colour reproduction.
>>
>>720738896
the future is 1000hz plus gaming
no lcd will ever come close to that
oled however will easily reach that in 3-4 years
>>
>>720739045
OLED is like plasma tv. Doomed to fail
>>
>>720739145
oled is the spiritual successor to crt
>>
>>720738834
Well that's just not true. Every year there's more and more TV companies showing off their prototypes and microLED roadmaps at CES, and every wearables maker seems to be going all in on it.

What do you guys think of the Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 27" LS27DG600SLXZD? Still worth it?
>>
gaming monitor market is a drop in an ocean compared to TV and mobile screen production volumes, hence why it's lagging behind in terms of everything besides refresh rate
>>
>>720741175
look at the Asus XG27UCDMG
same price and it's 4k

FastVA+MiniLED is the tideover until MicroLED
IPS+MiniLED is can be OK too, but IPS glow is still apparent in small spots where light and dark are on the same zone.

FastVA fixes smearing and still has enough native contrast to not get the blobs of light like IPS MiniLED.
>>
>>720741476
sorry not wasting my prime years with cope tech.
oled until then for me, it just looks to good.
>>
>>720741476
Yea, VA without smearing has made me very happy. Would never go back to a gray, no-contrast IPS/TN monitor.
OLED is too expensive and having to dick around with menus is a cherry on top. But If you have money to burn then why not.
>>
>>720741408
Not available where I live sadly.
>>
>>720741476
>>720742057
Hold on, what's fast VA? Is that a new VA spec or something?

Most of those fags arguing in these threads don't even know how a liquid crystal cell or an LED works.
