https://www.gamespot.com/articles/steam-deck-2-release-is-over-two-years-away-according-to-new-rumor/1100-6534362/There you have it, late 2028-mid 2029 window. Knowing Valve it may even get delayed beyond that. Will you wait for the new model or upgrade to something else in the meantime?
>>720738706I see 0 reason to upgrade even then. Any game too demanding to play on it I would almost certainly wait and just play on my PC anyways
>>720738706>Will you wait for the new model or upgrade to something else in the meantime?Neither, and I suspect you're a shill based on the way the question is presented. There is no need to upgrade from the Steam Deck at the moment, it's still by far the best handheld on the market. The only models that have a slight advantage over it in terms of performance require twice as much battery power to do so, cost twice as much and are built like brick shithouses
>>720738706>A guy made a 3 word post on neogafIs this what counts as news now? He didn't even indicate if it was a "leak" or a personal opinion.
>>720739024Uh...
>>720738706They have to wait so it will be able to run 10th gen multiplats.
>>720739083>10% of the NPCs to reduce stutterLiterally played a butchered version lol.
there will never be new good games (unless it's indie games) so no need to upgrade any devices
>>720739278cope
>>720739083really makes me think why valve never updated the apu for the oled version
Wait. The years have been going by so quickly for me lately that'll be nothing.
>>720739083/r/PCMR /v Valve Vegan/ PC fanboys don't compare, don't look, close your mustard race eyes!
>>720738706I just want them to release the Steam Controller 2 already for fuck's sake
>>720741240they're still in the middle of a legal dispute over some patent violation because of that controlleri dont think we'll see a steam controller any time soon
>>720738706>2028Bullshit, that rumor from Kepler came from a friend of a friend, meaning that there were a mix-up. He did this with Xbox too and got that completely wrong. He just knows more about PlayStation.>next gen Xbox is not 2027, it's 2026 and 2027 because it's a partner living room box and a handheld both without backwards compatibility>Steam Deck 2 is early 2027 and will be announced next year with Half-Life 3 being optimized for itKepler is just right about the PS6 Orion and PS6 Canis. We're getting the Steam Deck 2 early 2027, not late 2028.
It will probably cost like €700-€800 too
>>720741969It'll cost $550
>>720739083Nobody wants to play that faggot ass game retard
>>720738706Already preordered.
>>720738842https://files.catbox.moe/kt1l30.mp4
>>720739083>missing geometry>4 npc total>720p form 480palso looks like vram issue as gpu only uses 4w while cpu is not fully utilized.
>>720738706Thanks to Lossless Scaling hmmm I'm playing at 60fps rn!
>>720739083Isn't switch 2 using a heavily optimized version that upscales from 320p/480p?
>>720738706And once it's out, it'll be the END for the SW2
>>720746056Internal native resolution is 720p handheld(upscaled to 1080), 960p docked(upscaled to 1440p) according to DF
>>720738706Was there ever a way to turn off the shadercache? It always kept downloading and I have slow internet. I'd be down to give the deck another chance if you can.
>>720748414You can turn off background downloading in the settings. You'll have to pre-compile them which takes a while or skip it for on the fly compilation which I've never tried but I'd imagine would lead to stuttering on first viewing of each shader.

>>720738706I haven't encountered a game it can't play that I am interested in yet.I played Oblivion Remastered on it just fine.
Does any other handheld pc has the precached shader feature that the Deck has? i'm guessing that's big no
>>720738706I have a PC and a Switch. That's all I need. The Switch for Zelda and Fire Emblem and the PC for everything else. When you're not poor and brown, you get the best of both worlds.
>>720739083Where are all the NPCs?
>>720739083Ohnononono Steamies DON'T LOOK!
>>720739083Holy shit, a highly optimized Switch 2-exclusive version of a shit game nobody wants to play runs so much better than on Deck! Can we just finally get good games?
this makes the tendie shit and piss themselves in pure rage
>>720739083yawn
>>720738706My reddit deck collects dust, and is one of my most regrettable purchases. Never buying another one. For some reason, handhelds attract a bunch of fags who just want to collect and discuss handhelds.>"OHHHHH dude the chinkDS 5000 just came out!"None of these people play games, they just talk about them. At best you get some megaautist who likes to tinker with steamdeck options more than he likes playing games
its way too early for another one now anyways.
>>720752225>I dont use my handheld that means nobody else doesautism
