Yes, that's every Bethesda game.

No, mostly just the vocal minority here is seething. Most people are either indifferent or like it to a degree.

Bethesda is the Apple of gaming. E-celebs hate them, but people still buy their products in masses.

Nothing is sourced but they outsourced the pr and shilling department to india

Anon, I bet you still think that Fallout 76 flopped? (it didn't, only losses were reputational. they sold base game, subscriptions and micro-transactions. and game was made by side-studio)

you sure? Ive pretty much only heard mid reviews to negative, not all that much on the unreserved positive side.

Source: assuming every time the game has been launched it was by a new player who just purchased the game for 80$ with 100% of the cost going to bethesda and they also decided to tip an extra 50$ again entirely going to bethesda
>>
I'm not gonna/didn't buy it. I waited for what came after, Oblivion, with the expectation that mod support would be abandoned; I was right, and I won't buy the next TES because I know Bethesda is done.

Brainless consumers ruining gaming by buying shit en masse. More news at 11.

Starfield is a great example of how completely detached /v/ is to the rest of the gaming community. Starfield was an overwhelming commercial success. Everyone I know was playing it and had an absolute blast. There's no other game on the market like it.
/v/ is the only place I see people shitting on it, and they're probably all bots.

As far as I know, MS hasn't talked directly about how much money Starfield has made, and all observable metrics (player count, DLC plans, attach rate) indicate a middle of the road performance that likely made no money. (And damn sure didn't generate whatever MS paid to buy Bethesda to begin with.)
>>
>>720740108
It's a quiet study hall down the hall from a loud retarded class kind of situation. Most of the people playing Starfield aren't really participating in the online discourse, they're just sitting around quietly and enjoying themselves.
>>
>>720740108
How is that surprising exactly. Go all the way back to Oblivion and they were copy pasting dungeons. It’s not like Starfield is the first lazy buggy mess they made
>>
>>720744738
>not the first buggy mess they made
No, but you'd assume over an intervening 20 year period, they'd improve, at least marginally.
>>
>>720744537
They did actually, they kept attributing the Xbox's insane sales of that year due to Starfield coming out.
>>
>>720744537
Starfield is literally the most successful video game of this console generation.
>>
>>720740108
>so people are just shitting on it while buying it.
I have it and I didn't pay a single cent for it, since I got it with my amd cpu.
>>
>>720744537
Have in mind that it was bundled with amd products and computers, the actual sales on steam are probably at least a quarter less if not more of what is calculated.
>>

Starfield is objectively a massively successful game and the best selling game of this console generation. It's getting ported to the PS5 and Switch 2 and will no doubt sell a lot more after that.
>>
>>720746796
It was successful? Guess it's time to close down the studio.
>>
>>720744505
actually based
>>
>>720740231
Most people haven’t played it. Starfield has had shockingly little cultural impact compared to the likes of Skyrim or Fallout 4. Those games were straight-up genre-defining. When’s the last time you’ve heard anyone TALK about Starfield, let alone say their game was inspired by Starfield?

No Man's Sky is the better game and it was made by a dozen white guys.
Unlike Bethesda games which are made by trannies and faggots.
Theres no way TransField made $2B.
More fake news from anime faggots on steam discussion forums.
>>
Thats not surprising at all, the hype sales were real.

It's just a really boring game is all, not even mods can save it. Nasapunk was a mistake.
>>
>>720740108
Now do it again with fallout fucking 76. probably made trillions with the most broken game ever released in the history of video games since it also has the worst microtransactions in history.
>>
>>720748391
>fallout 4
I wouldn't go that far. Skyrim, sure-- everyone and their fucking mom played Skyrim. Not FO4.
>>
>>720749857
Nasapunk was fine. I actually liked it. The issue is that it was the same outdated bethesda game for the 5th time only worse because most of it is loading screens and empty planets. While memed "you can climb it" was one of the few things skyrim had going for it and there was stuff to explore. Not just land ship at isolated randomly generated locations.

If Oblivion and Skyrim were loved as they were, why would they need to improve the formula?
I hope they keep doing the same thing forever, they're engine and games are unique
