You dont do social grinding because its just you hanging out with a character in like a 2 minutes scene because your almost always guaranteed to level them up with every hangout if you have a matching persona in your collection. Meanwhile for dungeons, you always want to finish a dungeon on the first go, which means grinding to level up or be over leveled for the boss and to fuse better persona.
