People seem excited to try a new platform fighter so anyone that actually makes a good one will see great success. The issue is there's been so many bad ones in a row that people no longer even consider trying them. Rivals 2 was yet another disappointment for platform fighters. No one will ever bat at eye at new platform fighters ever again, even if it's actually good
