>multiplayer barely existed on ps2 and especially gamecube
>online games often abandoned by the developers in a few months
>shooters on pc were filled with wacky maps and gamemodes that were unbalanced to shit on top of no matchmaking
>practically no f2p games

I had a GameCube and Dreamcast and then got a PC like a little bit later. It was great. Never gave a fuck about PS2/Xbox slop because the better version was on PC/GC/DC but it does suck that PS2 and Xbox got a bunch of Sega games that got stuck on the hardware with no port.
