I rolled a lucky pow 3*, long 2* anime Teio, did a few runs with her as parent and rolled 2*stamina 2*long McQueen, then used her as parent for Gold Ship. Did about 7 careers and chose the best looking Golshi. Got 3 wins on day 1 and 2, A finals. F2p, absolute garbage support cards all around. 0*SRs on my careers.You must be an idiot to complain about the grind in this game. Just do the optimal goodenough thing and you'll beat most people. Game is too obtuse for casuals to not brick themselves at first opportunity.

Cancer cup stats are much easier to hit, out of maybe 10 careers trying to get mile/turf/groundwork at the same time I never struggled to reach max speed 900 power and the stamina/guts/wit thresholds. I wonder if this means skills will be the make or break for most.

Doing a little extra wit training isn't that hard and you might even want to fit a wit card into your deck i.e. 3 speed, 2 power, 1 wit. Grass Wonder for instance has a 20% speed gain, 10% power gain, and the japanese ran the shit out of her when they did the japanese cup for a reason. She's a strong pick. Stamina is notoriously hard to train for. Speed training trains your power in tandem, so it's much easier to build. Power training will raise your stamina + sparks make it easier. Just do a little extra wit training, it's more doable than you realize. You're just exhausted from the Gemini stamina grind. Training power/speed runners is much easier.

Some thoughts.Suzuka's story is really good and very nice. It's not dramatic or overwrought, she's not quirky, she doesn't cause problems and she's not "loud" either in personality or voice. But it's got a really endearing heart to it. I worry that people will look at it and her issue and use the lazy conclusion "Oh, she's autistic". She's not, she's just extremely introverted and not good at dealing with people. And, that's never presented as a flaw or something to overcome, she doesn't want to be better at dealing with people and she doesn't want to be more outgoing. However, she's also not callous in the least, she cares deeply for people and struggles immensely with how her winning hurts others. The story about how her original trainer (female) tried to make her run in a conventional way, but Suzuka's so introverted that being around other runners literally makes her freak out, lose her mojo and destroys everything she likes about running, is really nice. It really feels like she doesn't need to be a professional racer, she'd be just as happy running casually, and she seemed to be on the verge of making that decision when your character helps her and offers to make her a Runaway Front Runner. Overall, I really liked it. It felt sincere, I liked how she really didn't have a competitive spirit, she just couldn't bear to give up the lead since doing so would ruin her "view", and I liked watching her change just slightly as she takes your advice and gets better at presenting herself to others. Good, nice, solid story that ends with a very clear romantic hook. I worry that she'll be an awkward mother though. And as a complete opposite, I enjoyed Matikanefukukitaru's career far more than I expected, despite how ridiculously quirky she is. She's very endearing, watching her collapse in tears when her fortunes don't work out and she comes second despite her "destiny" is heartbreaking, and her Hot Springs event is very, very sweet.

I'd say right now the trickiest part is getting mile sparks, as there's not as many as medium/long and so it's a bit tricky to get what you want, double so for front runners. Don't bother with front runners if you feel it's impossible, focus on easier styles.

So you've turned Nice Nature into a legendary, Triple Crown Emperor... and she finishes each scene going on about how she can't compare to someone like Teio, or how Teio was so much more impressive than her for battling on despite breaking her leg. Can you really consider Nice Nature a plucky underdog when she's got 11 G1 Wins and two Triple Crowns? The game certainly seems to think so. It's a shame there's no option to go do that Arc d'Triumph race. I would have loved to see Nice Nature win that one and then explain how she's in Teio's shadow because Teio won the Derby really convincingly. I absolutely love her reaction when she gets 1st (or even second) on the raffle. She's got such nice rapport with all the shopkeepers. Of any Uma, she truly feels like the one that would be the best to marry and have children with. She's just really stable and really warm. Oh and her victory pose is adorable too. Like she can't believe it, but is overjoyed while trying to stay calm.
