Has anyone played these on consoles? Is it playable? I get that is much clunkier than on PC, I played Neverwinter Nights on PS4 some years ago and it was amazing after the adjustment to use the controller. Also, it would be my first time playing the game or any game on this version of D&D (fuck THACO, man ..).
the state should execute you without due process

>>720764975Just stick with your retarded baby games, manbitch. You wouldn't know how to play these games even if your life depended on it.
>>720767389Ohhhhh that's cute, he thinks Baldur's Gate is a grown man hardcore game.
>supporting beamdog >TWICE even
>>720764975They're absolutely playable, but they all (bg2, iwd, etc) have one bug that will hardlock the game: spell sequencer effects. If you pull up a sequencer menu the game hardlocks.Otherwise, they're all playable.
>>720769259>switchOh, I played the PS4/5 versions. Dunno if that bug exists in the Switch version
>>720769259>>720769337That's great to know, thank you very much, anon!

>>720764975The console control scheme is good and a lot of people even prefer the stick based “drive” mode for walking around. However, in addition to the spell sequencer bug, spell management and casting in general is just more slow and cumbersome on console. Both of these issues are kinda sad because complex and powerful spellcasting is the best part of BG combat. The games run more or less any PC so I’d suggest that route if at all possible. That said, you don’t actually need sequencers and can fully enjoy the game on console.
>>720764975How do I not get filtered by the two guys you pick up in the first 30 minutes of the game? They're evil but I'm lawful what do even I with this?
>>720770436Nice! Although I know casting is almost a must in these games, I always disliked and will probably interact with the system as less as possible. Thank you very much, anon, I will enjoy it then!
>>720770612You can ignore them if you want or grab them and just kick them out at the first opportunity to replace them. There’s a huge list of potential party members in BG1 so you’re supposed to treat them as more disposable and only keep the ones you like. The game gives you Imoen so you don’t need Montaron to be your thief.
>>720770850NP. You’ll still probably want at least one arcane caster and one divine caster. But you can absolute make a more physical oriented party of six and be successful. Consider including Keldorn in your BG2 party in this case since he has a super charged dispel magic instead of Paladin spells which will be very useful for such a party in dealing with mages.
>>720770951My primary concern seems to be at their quest goes way deep in one direction which is opposite from where the other quest goes
>>720772867Go the the friendly arm inn and pickup Jaheira and Khalid first, that’s fast. Then you can help Monty and Xzar. Companions with personal quests give you some amount of grace period to do them. And if you spend so much time running around that they leave? Well you didn’t really like them anyway.
>>720771298Really appreciate the tips, anon, gonna keep this is mind.
Played BG1 and will play BG2 on xbox soon
>>720773221Thanks I'll try this
>>720773680Did you like it?
