Pic related is the roadmap through December. More skateable areas every 3 months, game modes, tricks, etc added in major updates. F2P stuff is in random loot boxes. It's not really hard to get what anything specific out of them but it's really annoying and inconvenient to open them. Overall the gameplay is really, really good in my opinion. If you missed the posts about the "mandatory" partying up quest, when you get to that point you can just not do it. In the start menu, home tab, Missions menu you can see the next main "Tour" under these party/team up "side tours", you'll just need to do a handful of normal challenges to unlock the next main tour. You'll miss out on 200 ripchips (f2p currency) which is nothing and a few mostly lame cosmetic items. I haven't done either of the "forced partying" tours and maxed out all the neighborhoods rep no problem.
Also for people starting with early access, just check out all the settings (honestly something you should do with all games etc anyway). You actually get a lot of control over the mechanics like grind magnetism, pump assist, etc.

If they actually deliver on their roadmap and everything I think by like the 3rd or 4th season the game will be in a pretty good state as far as covering all the old tricks, having a nice bag of new ones, game modes, etc.

Close all menus, press left on dpad to open social menu, go to settings, and turn off Quick Drop objects showing from other players not in your party or friends list3. You'll eventually hit one of the "Tour" quests that wants you to invite someone to a party and do a co-op challenge. You can skip this, just look in the start menu, Missions page and you'll see the next Tour and how many challenge goals you have to do to unlock it, just do regular challenges until you get to that and leave the mandatory social shit behind. Unless you actually have friends or whatever.

Cool new tricks in this entry of the series:-Nudge out of grinds by holding left or right on your left analog stick. Really smooth, opens up a lot of cool tech ledge combos.-Held flip tricks.. kickflips, heelflips, 360 flips and laserflips can be held as long as you have air to flip infinitely.-Winding up spins. After you crouch down for your ollie, pull down the left stick then wind it to the left or right, your skater's body will twist and when you ollie you'll spin faster than normal. Can get flat ground 360s easy like that.-Slappy grinds, just ride into curbs. Can mess with sticks to get different grinds, some look really good actually.-Wallies, make sure they're turned on in settings, then just ollie a little too close to clear a ledge. They can be a bit buggy right now though.-Grinding on transition. Hold down on your left analog stick right as you're arriving at some vert coping.-Grind switchups. You can move your right stick around to kinda spin around into different grinds without popping.
