The double jump, air dash, glide, are all nearly good enough to make a fast movement shooter style of gameplay but it's not quite there yet that you're still painfully slow otherwise. The grapple key and the melee key are the same one and can't be separated so have fun accidentally doing one or the other you didn't intend to do. Most guns aren't very fun to use, with Tediore going from mostly average to now absolute crap but that's a competitive spot right now because Order and Daedalus exist as well as Ripper. Because the Maliwan charged guns were always peoples favorites Gearbox decided to make it the entire gimmick of the not bandits. The UI is still ass and paradoxically tells you less than it ever has, you have to mouse over the ammo tab and the currency tab to even know how much of either you have, when literally every other game just showed you that info from the start. The open world is Ubisoft tier in that you have to unlock outposts to use travel stations and the moment you open up parts of the map collectible icons appear reminding you of time wasting shit you can do to get more SDU points.This feels like the most design by committee Borderlands game in a series that was temporarily spared such because of the long wait between entries.

Does anyone know if fire rates actually work properly?Back in Bl2 fire rate was a fucking lie, because it was based on frames. So running at 30fps (ps3/360 versions) the only real fire rates were:> 30> 15 > 10> 7.5> 6> 5> 4.286 > 3.75 etc… if fire rate landed on anything between those numbers, it just rounded down to the lower option. This meant that SMG’s with part that boosted firerate from 7.8 to 9.7 did absolutely nothing to benifit you, but you still suffered the base damage and accuracy penalty.PC version running at 60fps obviously had more options, but 60/30/20/15/12/10/8.57/7.5/6.67 etc… still obviously leaves a lot of values irrelevant, and stuff like “boost fire rate by 20%” would often not work like you expected. With Bl4 relying so hard on frame gen, unless they fixed this issue (which is very possible, other games don’t suffer from it) then the amount of “real” fire rates might be quite low.I noticed Vladof ordnance Gattling guns have a base fire rate of 30, so I wondering if it’s even possible to improve that.

This is by far the best weapon I've found so far. I went to Splashzone to farm for legendaries (I thought you had to use eridium instead of money so that's why I didn't do it before) and using the underbarrel I literally kill him in one shot. All the other videos I've seen look goofy compared to this. I'll go farm Horace or something now.

I knew Borderlands wasn't for me ever since the first game. During the first second of gameplay, you're holding a gun and Claptrap is directly in front of you. I blasted him and nothing happened. He didn't have to die, but something should've happened. He could've been visibly blown into the distance then continued the tutorial over the radio and then had dialogue about being to be repaired. That kind of flavor would've been really endearing. The fact that nothing happened to Claptrap immediately signals that they have no sense of humor. I played a good deal of the game before getting bored. I played a little bit of Borderlands 2 and that was equally boring. I do not care for this franchise.

Hell, the endgame in this game at the current time is replaying missions with affix modifiers on all enemies. Kinda like Mayhem mode, but the affixes are more MMO-ish, the types you see a few of during leveling. These affixes are hard locked weekly, so if something rolls for the week, all your endgame will be spent fighting those same 3 affixesOne of those affixes makes melee unable to damage enemies. So that entire week you can't do the meta endgame farm
