The game structure seems very similar to RoboCop: Rogue City. Each night you wake up, and you have a series of sidequests around town to complete. You also have the main quest. You progress to the next story milestone by completing the main quest or quest chain and returning to your haven to sleep. When you sleep, you play as Fabien for a while. Then wake up as Phyre again.

One good thing with VtM's setting being kind of a mess grown over decades and writers with different takes/viewpoints is that it doesn't really lend itself to allegory without breaking at the seams. It's its own thing, and you can draw parallels, but strict metaphor doesn't really hold to scutiny.The power fantasy aspect was always there. There's a whole subgroup of the tabletop player base that sees generation as power ladder and the game as goth super (anti)-heroics.

Toreador is super strong for the actual gameplay section but honestly doesn't actually have much special outside of Nossies shit talking you. Nosferatu and Malkavians have extensive changes to Dialogue compared to other clans. I personally don't like Nosferatu gameplay much and while I think a first time Malk run is actually great it's dependant on your knowledge of certain subjects to understand the hints it gives you. With a surface level knowledge of mythology and poetry you're mostly fine.

By sheer numbers alone, you can raise all of your Disciplines to 5 and 3 of your Attributes to 5, but then you'd be left with only 11 XP to distribute to skills. You could raise a single Discipline to 5, and raise 3 Attributes to 5, leaving you with with the ability to raise only 3 Abilities to 5. One of the worst things that you can do as a new player in VtMB is hyper-specialize because a new player wouldn't know where or how to get free skill-ups without spoiling the game for themselves. It's better for them to get some variety and raise each feat to about 7 or 8 rather than getting a handful of them to 10.
