It’s a deeper and more satisfying game than it’s admittedly gorgeous but somewhat obtuse sequel.
>>720780701Still the best gunplay in any Rockstar game
Not really, it has a better soundtrack and thats it. The game gets repetitive real quick. And I am not sure why everyone complains about long dialogue scenes in rdr2, since rdr1 had them also.
Replayed this recently on pc. Everybody is an overly exaggerated caricature with one character trait that they repeat endlessly,. The fuck are you talking about, deep?
>>720781160I’m specifically referring to John and his sacrifice for his family. I also thought Landon Ricketts and Nigel West Dickens were far more memorable than anyone in RDR2.

>>720780701I like the really lonely atmosphere and desert vistas. It's obviously very inspired by Dead Man and Blood Meridian. Rdr2 did a lot of things better but the gang aspect kind of my got on my nerves a few times. Rdr1 is one of the most literal Interpretation of the 'death of the west' thematic. The old west is dying and the main character has to die too because he's the embodiment of the old west.
>>720780701I liked the over the top death animations straight out of a spaghetti western

>>720780831Wrong. That's Max Payne 3 and it's not even close.
>>720780701RDR1 is fun to play unlike the sequel. it felt like an interactive movie most of the times
