I don't think devs should be mandated to cater to their fans directly but I do think they should be held accountable for mistakes their fans might've not liked as valid criticism, that being said, I do think devs should still have full control of their vision and do what they want with their vision in the game rather than a carefully selected elements chosen by a corporation or fans.
