for this reason I am a terrible overwatch player and got permabanned from it for "not" playing my class in friendly casual games.

I miss games where you could keep your build a secret so that no-one could copy it. Gw2 was like that, I don't know if it is like that anymore but there was no way for somebody else to inspect your build so you could keep it a secret if you made something strong. Unless you bragged about it or uploaded it to metabattle, in which case the devs might nerf it.
