metro exodus is the best cinematic FPS campaign ever?
>>
>>720791437
It’s the worst metro game and it exposes your terminal shit taste.
>>
People CARED about Half-Life. It's culturally irrelevant today. Today's youth know of Half-Life solely as the singing toilet and ebin Garry's Mod meme servers.
>>
>>720791525
It's okay, I would say it's unfinished, especially the Taiga location
>>
>follow guy
>interact with object in environment
>oh no monsters are here
>kill monsters
>follow guy again
>repeat
Surprised this series managed to get a third game.

>move mouse and press on the keyboard
yikes, lazy devs
>>
>>720791672
i dont want to hate but they needed to do something fresh after the first games.

>metro exodus is the best cinematic FPS campaign ever?
New Order is better, Exodus has too childish writing, like how many times Anna should cough to hint that something is wrong with her?
>>
>>720791437
i liked it until the linear shit levels at the end.
>>
>>720791437
Volga was pure ludo kino.

>New thing is le bad
>>
>>720791437
It's strange how much they hyped this chapter, even in trailers but it's a fucking corridor where you can barely do anything except fighting a scripted bear or drinking with a disabled schizo
>>
>>720793676
>no it's open world
>no it's linear
can't please everyone.
>>
>>720791437
should i play the first games before this?
>>
>>720794760
Only if you want to have Vietnamese flashbacks on the final mission
>>
>>720794947
that sounds like a yes?
also im looking at this old trailer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbbqlvuovQ0
does it really look this good because this trailer looks better than most recent games

It's too hardcore and too janky for anyone who is not a slav. I am kinda surprised that 2033 got so strong cult following on the west, when from the gameplay perspective it's the worst. Yeah, the story and characters are memorable but most of the time you shot and it's very unpleasant. Exodus 90% of the time is very comfortable but last stages is a throwback from 2033
>>
I just finished the first two actually.
>designed for russian
>but we only added subtitles for half the lines in the game
>btw if you don't listen to every 4th background dialogue you get the bad ending :)
>btw if you don't peacefully knock out enough of the enemies who want you dead you get the bad ending :)
At least kojima just gives you a lower letter grade. I hate this preachy bullshit in an fps.
very fun otherwise.

If you played the Redux versions you did not play the game.
>>
>>720795591
okay I have time until RE9 so ill give it a try thanks
>>
>>720795645
bully for me
>>
>>720795595
This karma system makes no sense, especially in the moment when you save a bandit, who will bring more people to kill and torture pioneers
>>
>>720791437
I wish the metro guys would take over stalker so we can finally have a good stalker game.
>>
>>720791437
Metro 2033 (the original, not the ruined "enhanced" version) is the only good game in the series
>>
>>720795779
>he was a horrible, evil lying traitor helping to kill every single person in the metro
>but killing is worse :O)
>still got the bad ending anyway
hate slavs.
>>
>>720795932
This!
>>
>>720795591
>too hardcore and too janky for anyone who is not a slav
Uhh... what? Thats how I would describe the stalker games but the original metro games are your run of the mill console corridor shooters with some resource management aspects. Even your average normalfag would NOT find them clunky to play if you can get through a cod campaign.
>>720795096
Id recommend maybe giving the first one a pirate and seeing how you like it for an hour or two. They're fun and not many games have the same sort of immersive claustrophobic tunnel setting
>>
>>720795595
Forcing nonlethal on every major encounter absolutely killed exodus for me. Karma systems are always retarded.
>>
>>720796419
Stalker gives you a freedom, what weapons to use, how many ammo to carry and how to play certain sections, etc. Difficulty is manageable, the design is honest. Metro 2033 is a corridor with the worst design choice "survive until the trigger". Librarian is just a classic slavjunk core, when you barely killed one, and they put 2 more after
>>

If we're talking only purely jank stalker will lose 9 times out of 10. I'm sorry you got filtered by a linear cinematic console shooter. It can get repetitive at times but there is no fucking way anyone with a functioning brain can get lost or has to retry a section more than once or twice. It was playtested by and for xbox players.
I'm not even a massive fan I'm just confused how you could ever call it more hardcore and janky than stalker. The first fucking problem I ran into when playing vanilla SOC is that turning my FOV up rendered it impossible to walk through doors.
