I bought a month of ps+ premium this month after like a year of not touching my ps5 and the state of the entire platform is just depressing because it has no fucking games. The playstation essentials category on ps+ is 90% ps4 games. Not only is playstation expensive as fuck to buy now but it has no value at all.

>>720814735It's worth getting it if you can't get anything else desu. Series S is great bang for buck especially if you can fund a refurb one for cheap. Even if all you do on it is play last gen games or run emulators. The features like fps boost make select last gen games play much nicer. For example I've been play the division because I got it for free with xbox live years back, and it's 60 fps on xbox and maybe 4k but don't quote me on that. Still 30 fps on PS5. That goes for a ton of games, like battlefield 4, 5 and 1 having 120 fps boost which I've also been playing recently in the build up to BF6 and they're all on gamepass too so it's great value for money. PS5 as a console is okay, but it's barebones at the same time. It feels like xbox are doing a lot more to make your gaming experience just that little bit better on their console. Obviously PC is king bare none. But as for consoles, I'd definitely opt to play a game on xbox over PS if possible for the reasons mentioned and also the controller is fucking great too. I'll probably get GTA 6 on xbox unless Sony do some fuckery to make the xbox version worse.
