A magical button has appeared before you. Upon pressing it, all of the following will come true:>Physical releases for AA and AAA games are the norm again>You get an optional steam / online store code>Thick instruction booklet included>No more gacha / micro-transactions / DLC bullshit / day 1 patches. Games are fully playable and "done" on day 1.>Early access games are banned.>Games are 3x as expensive ($180 for AAA, $120 for AA, $60 for an average indie game)Do you press it?
didn't read any of that, I see big red button i press it, simple as
yes
>>720796158based
>>720796121Of course i would, nowadays all that would be a $350 value
>>720796158Unironically, incredibly, irrevocably based
>>720796121Toss in a mandatory GPL-3 release of the source code after a year or two and we've got a deal.
>Physical releases the normEugh, stopped there. Fuck no. Digital is the tits.
>>720796121fuck no, i haven't bought a physical copy in like 15 years, shit's good for nothing, it only gathers dust
>>720796398>>720796619Do people really think this or is it just bots?
>>720796707Games aren't getting any smaller.
>>720796707I truly, honestly, 100% believe it. Ever since Steam started ramping up I've probably only bought like two or three physical games. Digital is fantastic. I still have an old CD rack and 2 boxes of mostly PC, PS, and PS2 games knocking around and I hate em. They just take up space and keep getting shoved around from one spot to another but I can't bring myself to trash those. I'm super happy I don't have another 15 years of physical games I bought on Steam. Just more shit taking up room and being in the way. I truly love digital games.
