What I do is boot into the terminal and then from there i have a shortcut to launch pegasuslauncher by itself with no desktop environment. So my computer is like a kiosk exclusively dedicating all of its power to gaming. This keeps my framerate consistent and lets me run ps2 games on my potato laptop
