I was hyped for years to play Silksong and Hollow Knight is my favorite Metroidvania. The original Hollow Knight base game had exactly 2 parts that were difficult for non-retards and yes, after finishing the DLC if they made Silksong that easy again, I would have fallen asleep because I'm better at the game. They made a good decision. Explore the game world more. Don't be afraid to turn around and get powerups when you get stuck. Play with your build. Experiment. Be the gamer I know you are.

I wouldn't mind it if the game had upped the boss difficulty but also given you benches right next to the bosses for instance. They intentionally made everything about the game feel not fun. Having to pay for benches, shit platforming sections, double damage everywhere even from regular enemies, 5 minute boss run-backs, you start out with that stupid fucking sideway pogo... All of these design decisions are baffling to me. Also, I played the original Hollow Knight like 7 years ago, I don't play these games endlessly, so no, I'm not better at the game than I was when I played the original, why would I be? Hollow Knight wasn't exactly the type of game that regular people would play endlessly and continue to hone their skills at.
