Relink was one of the best game I've played in a while. I've heard the gacha has absolutely gone off the deep end though and they keep pandering to fujoshi to the point they're driving off the rest of their fan base. They couldn't even help themselves and put their home angels in Relink too even though Roland was playable in the files.I stopped playing a long time ago but Zooey has always had a soft spot in my heart, and I've heard they ruined her character too.

The game's balance was already absurd, the game expected past a point for you to have grinded your terminus weapon and the online matchmaking was already kinda messed up and the population was dwindling so it was very difficult to find matches.An hypothetical expansion would be nice but then it becomes a balance issue again of the devs asking themselves if they balance it for people who have terminus weapons and then you can get so ridiculously powerful even after that, that you have to wonder how they'd even do that. The only solution currently is a constant linear increase in difficulty for free bosses. They got all they could reasonably get out of that.Only option is a full sequel, which I hope they do, and in the process make a much more robust singleplayer experience with more to explore, add more characters, and maybe figure out a way to balance the game better similar to something like Monster Hunter so you don't invalidate every boss past a certain point like you did in the first game. Maybe they can tone down the ridiculous grind too

grub has two yuge problems. the first is that it doesn't respect your time. almost everything you do in the game expects you to waste hours of your time doing the same extremely repetitive actions over and over. the top gw grinders have tens of thousands of battles completed over 5 days. every skycope event wants you do raids that you have already cleared hundreds of times already another 240+ times more. the new bullet quest is considered a major convenience because it shortens the grind to "only" 8 hours instead of the 40+ it took before. what does any of this really accomplish other than proving that you have no life?the second is that it doesn't respect your preferences. there are hundreds of characters in the game but you are only allowed to use the handful of ones that meta demands want you to. if you are a fan of a character but she's low tier too bad fuck you. if you don't want to use homo characters too bad fuck you. all modern raids are designed with hard checks for certain functions so you are screwed if you don't roll for the newest characters. old raids were designed so you could contribute while bringing almost any class or character. in new raids the vast majority of abilities and effects in the games are either practically useless or explicitly useless. they don't even have any multiplayer elements other than being designed so that if you fail your solo it sabotages it for everyone else playing with you. there's basically no room for player expression and even in non-hl content using off meta characters is just a tax on the time you are forced to waste to accomplish anything.
