>*plane crashes*>*shadowy man covered in red kidnaps my son deep into the wilderness*FUUUUUUUCCKKKK....Guess it's time to start genociding the local native population, build effigies out of their mutilated corpses, raid their camps for supplies, go cave exploring, decimate the local wildlife, chopping down trees and build an advanced logging fortress with sustainable crops and comfortable fully furnished cabins. Hang in there Timmy, Daddy's coming!>*chop* *chop* *chop*
>>720811510is this VR playable?
>>720811926Yes, especially the cave sections. ^_^
>>720812973great, I love jungle survivalGreen Hell VR is really good too
>>720811510boooooring. valheim and abiotic are better. so is minecraft for that matter
Wish the sequel had VR like the first game
>>720811510Living the dream.

>>720811510The Forest was kinoSons of the Forest dropped the ball unbelievably hard
>>720811510you steal my son I murder everyone you know and care for. Simple as
>>720815846>Sons of the Forest dropped the ball unbelievably hardliterally haven't heard a peep from that game since it launched. What happened? Is this a Dragons Dogma 2 situation?
>>720811510The guy is a survival expert so it makes some kind of sense that he'd want a base and access to food. He doesn't know how long he'll be staying there. The weird thing is going through your survival guide and finding a recipe for bone-chandeliers.
>>720815996nta, but it has the usual problems of an early access sequel where it has way way less content than the previous game while not doing anything else better. I played only a bit at launch before refunding, not sure of its current state.
>>720815996They made it so cheesable, there are vehicles everywhere and you can basically fly the entire map using hang gliders. The game is super easy now and caves barely take prep IMO.
>>720815846I enjoyed SotF, there's plenty of good changes from the original. Having a companion you can set to build structures while you do other shit is cool. The guns are cool, ziplines and the gold carts make getting around more fun/easy. A big draw of The Forest (for me) was the story and going from not knowing anything to slowly piecing together what was really going on. Finding new landmarks and getting deeper in caves with new weapons. In SotF, there's a lot less mystery. We already kinda know what's going on. So i think that took some of the wind out of players sails. It's more of the same in a way.
>>720816572I play for she
>>720811510Its really funny how you can just eat people with no downside except becoming a fat fuck in this game because sanity effects are just...not implemented
>>720811926yeah i played through with friends and its maybe the best vr experience ive had
>>720815996At early access release it was barely worth playing. Since then they've added a shit load and it's basically just the first game but bigger and better. The only real problem with it now is the base building isn't quiet as good and the map is still too fucking big for how little there is on it. There is way more than the first game had, but since the map is so much bigger it just feels empty. Outside of that it's superior to the first game in every single way.
>>720819107they added in rafts just as I was finishing up my playthrough which sucks. In the first game I basically built a raft and would sit in safety with a couple shelves of soda-pop and sun dried lizard.
