What games make Shotguns feel good to use? It shouldn't be that hard but it's crazy how many fuck it up

Is there a shooter where shotguns have a maximum effective range that's longer than 5 meters? Would be refreshing to play something where shotgun classes aren't glorified pellet guns at medium range

Sound effects, recoil, screen shake/kick, enemy flinching, a bit of self knockback, big damage.
All of these come together to make it feel like a cannon with 2 barrels.

I mean, the theme of this thread isn't "games where shotguns are kinda OK if you're out of better ammo". Sam 4 had a single shotgun I would actively use even in the later sections of the game, especially with dual wielding, and it just felt good.

It's not because there's never just one kamikaze, there's more and you can stagger multiple of them with one click. It's also good for not wasting ammo if you play on serious. There's no point in using double barrel to kill beheaded soldiers for example

That's why you have infinite ammo handguns? Again, I used SG in some situations, but it rarely felt great.

I liked the Deagle in 3 so I mostly used that for long range combat until I got the steady supply of AR ammo.
