Why?
People here can't criticize the people who own their game library
because fifa and maplestory were already doing ithonestly it was either CSGO or undertale that popularized it too
>>720831895tf2 feels like one of the first games where i saw people pig out over opening so many crates though.
do people even care about crates anymore?tf2 is kinda dead and the economy is almost as bad as the US economy right now
the last time I cared about crates keys were still 2.33 ref each
>>720831895>undertaleno fucking idea why i said this i meant overwatch
>>720832656It's okay anon, we're all a little retarded sometimes
>>720831895>>720832656what did you guys unbox this week?
>>720831895>honestly it was either CSGO or undertale that popularized it tooThis. The fact that they're called "lootboxes" is a crystal clear giveaway that overwatch was the catalyst. Nobody calles them "crates" or even lootcrates. Or cases for that matter.
>>720831895>>720832656>>720833283>NOOOO IT WAS BECAUSE THE GAME INSPIRED BY TF2Why are valve drones like this
My earliest memory of people getting scammed by loot boxes was TF2 crates and mass effect 3 online boxes. The latter is worse because they had vital weapon upgrades, tf2 was atleast free to play at that point although there was still large amount of people who bought the game.
>>720833483TF2 was never mainstream because Valve told Microsoft and Sony to fuck off and proceeded to never update the console ports of Orange Box.Overwatch was normalfag central, being on all platforms and marketed hard to the general gaming population.
>>720833483>TF2 exists for 9 years, it has crates>nobody cares>OW comes out and introduces loot boxes>suddenly "lootboxes in gaming" is mainstream news even up to politicians making laws about lootboxesYes tell me more about how crates are the issue
