Its not even just that, I remember in Diablo 2 as a necromancer I was excited for every level because I went from 1 shitty little skeleton to 2 then to golems then to blood golem etc
It felt like a journey, in POE2 I use the exact same fucking skills all the way through because 99% of them suck ass and leveling them is a shitty fucking stat increase of 0.02131%

D2 got so much figured out. Puts Grim yawn and last sleepoch to shame still.
-random map segments
-plus skill level that actually matters
-build evolution so repetitive gameplay doesnt get stale
-difficult end game bosses to cap off the grind

I'm playing Grim Dawn for the first time but it just seems like I'm not making any progress at all, like sure I'm leaving up, but I have no idea what the point of anything I'm doing is.

Grim Dawn has powerspikes at certain levels and with certain gear.
It can feel slow at times.
