Some people talk about the length of a game like that's the only thing that matters about the game, like it's the first thing they go to. This game is good because it's 100 hours long, this game is bad because it's only 30 hours long. I actually see people who think like this and it's sad. I get that in a world where every game is insanely expensive people want to make sure they're getting playtime that lives up to the money they spent, but that's a whole different problem that needs to be dealt with. Obviously not every game needs to be $80 and if your game is only 10 hours long you should not be charging that price. But having a 100 hour game doesn't matter if the game isn't fun. That's why Deltarune is so good. Not only is the price reasonable for the length, but the length itself is perfect. It doesn't drag on or overstay its welcome or become repetitive, it's constantly hitting you with new things and then it knows when to end before you get tired of seeing those things. And that's why Unbeatable will be good as well.

Any game over 20-30 hours needs to be special to keep me hooked. Most games I have tried to play that are longer than that tend to just be the same repetitive padding, over and over. I eventually get bored of the same stagnant loop and eventually stop playing after about 40-50 hours at most. I enjoy games that are well thought out, beginning to end. Games that do not feel like they were padded just to make the game longer. It's like comparing a 12-24 episode one and done anime to something that's been going on for 1000 episodes. I tend to enjoy the clear-cut written story and game mechanics to the one that got padded like crazy.
