It truly astonishes me that they still haven't caught onto the idea of just making a compfag game and letting each of their adventure titles simply be flawed adventure titles. Romhacks have struggled with this idea for ages.Sweaty comp pokemon involves swapping in and out hundreds of different mons, each with the most optimal possible build. There's no getting attached to one mon or one moveset. There's no variance with things like EVs and IVs in the potential of a mon. There's no sense of mystery or discovery or adventure at all. You calculate out exactly what you're likely to come up against and prepare the best possible counter.Comp and casual play are INCOMPATIBLE, utterly incompatible, and the more they get separated the better.
