First off, great taste. I listen to rachie often and there is alot of gold to be found parodying her content. However, the parody lyrics are really lazy and is almost a carbon copy of That's Why I Gave Up on Music, down to sometimes the exact words and story. I think you should go back and try to see if there is a clever way of rewriting an original story and lyric, but if you can't then that's fine. No need to force it. Just my 2 cents as a prospective singer eyeing that song

Thanks for the feedback, man. I agree it's not my best work, I wanted to parody the song because the theme matched well with what I was feeling. Unfortunately, that meant that what I thought of was pretty much a copy of the original lyrics very often, not to mention I'm not very good at syllable matching.
I suppose you're right about not forcing it. I'm not very happy with it, but I'd still love to hear that song get parodied in the musical.
