I like HK's combat fundamentals significantly more than SS'sHK is entirely focused around Soul. Every mechanic you have is tied to either spending or generating Soul. Your heal only takes 30% of your soul bar, interchangeable with a spell cast. Your nail arts generate Soul. Everything works together.The entire system falls apart in SS. Heal is now 100% of your silk bar. Spells are giga omega nerfed, which only increases the priority of healing above all else. Charged attacks no longer generate Silk. Tools are entirely disconnected from the rest of the systems and tied to an abhorrent resource farming system because it's literally impossible to maintain a steady supply of shards if you're using your tools even a little bit. Not to mention that Knight had 3 charged attacks at a time and could even achieve several effects now relegated to tools via charms, so you had more combat options available to you at all times.The only cool new combat idea they introduced in SS is running attack/Clawline. But it's not enough to salvage the ridiculous downgrade to the rest of the mechanics.
